Shallowford Square is a great venue for events and outdoor movies with its amphitheater and lawn, where the Town hosts free movies, plays, and concerts throughout the year. Located at 6555 Shallowford Road, the Square also is home to a playground meant for younger children and swing sets with bucket swings and traditional swings. In 2017, Shallowford Square was voted a Great Public Space by the NC American Planning Association.

Shallowford Square also boasts a pavilion space available for rent. Shallowford Square may be used by both small and large open to the public events.
